Buri Ram shelter asks for net screens, tents for 700 rescued dogs
Buri Ram - The chief of Buri Ram Animal Quarantine Station Wednesday urged the public to urgently donate net screens and tents for over 700 dogs rescued from the smugglers.
Paisal Pattanadejkul said his station urgently needed the nets and tents so that the dogs would have enough shelters against blazing sunlight and rains.
Paisal said over 700 dogs rescued from those trying to smuggle them across mekong River have been handed over to the station to take care.
The station has vaccinated and sterilised nearly all of the dogs.
Paisal said the station has received dog fees from Soi Dog Foundation, some government agencies and other people for the dogs. Now, the station has 300 bags of dog feeds, 16 bags of rice, 3,000 fish cans. The station is feeding the dogs with about 8 bags of feeds and the foods would be enough just for awhile, he added.
