Banthoon Lamsam, chairman and CEO of Kasikornbank, has quashed a media report that he is approached to work for the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO).

"I have never been approached," he said in a statement.
"Yet, I informed the NCPO (National Council for Peace and Order) that as chairman and CEO of Kasikornbank, I am tied up with the bank management. Meanwhile, I have to extensively travel to Nan, taking care of a reforestation scheme of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. I am not in the capacity to take up other responsibilities."
The junta is in the process to formulate the National Legislative Assembly which will then form the government.
