Assumption College suspends all classes until next week

The Assumption College on Friday abruptly suspended all classes for one week starting Friday after teachers and alumni demanded the director’s resignation.

Parents and students did not learn of the closure until they arrived at the school and found the announcement in a banner in front of the school. The chaos worsened already heavy traffic jam on Charoenkrung Road in Bangrak district.

The closing was suspected to be linked to teachers’ demand for the administration to adjust their salaries. The teachers are scheduled to submit the demand to the school’s director this morning.
