Anti-graft body to review police stations case
The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) will look into a complaint involving two senior Democrat Party members, Abhisit Vejjajiva and Suthep Thaugsuban, over their role in the Bt5.8-billion project to build 396 new police stations.
"Our preliminary probe aims to determine whether there is grounds for the complaint and whether this case should fall into the NACC jurisdiction," NACC commissioner Klanarong Chantik said Tuesday.
The NACC would consider the issue again when the probe results emerged, he said.
Klanarong was speaking after the NACC convened a meeting to decide on an investigation report forwarded by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI).
