Affleck wins Directors Guild Award
Los Angeles - Argo continued its triumphant run to the Oscars as Ben Affleck won the top prize at the Directors Guild Awards Saturday for his Iran hostage drama.
The win followed victories last weekend at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Best Picture Award from the Producers Guild of America.
Affleck directs the film and stars as a CIA operative trying to save US hostages in revolutionary Iran.
The other nominees at the DGA Awards were Kathryn Bigelow, director of Zero Dark Thirty; Tom Hooper, Les Miserables; Ang Lee, Life of Pi; and Steven Spielberg, Lincoln.//DPA
