Adul receives letter from protesters, promises to speed up probes of children's killings

National Police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew met four representatives of the Peoples' Democratic Reform Committee Wednesday afternoon and promised to speed up investigations into killings of children at rally sites.

Adul met the four representatives of the PDRC inside the Royal Thai Police compound after PDRC secretary general Suthep Thaugsuban led protesters to rally there. Suthep demanded police to speed up probes and arrest attackers who caused four children to be killed - two in Bangkok and two other in Trat.

Suthep could not meet Adul himself because the PDRC leader is sought under an arrest warrant.

Adul promised that police would do their best to investigate cases of political violence.

PDRC protesters were happy that Adul came out to receive the demand from the four representatives.

After the talk, the protesters left the front of the Royal Thai Police at 1:20 pm.
