Democratic Party leader Abhisit Vejjavjiva on Friday visited protesters who were injured in Thursday fatal attack at Democracy Monument.
Abhisit along with the party's deputy secretaries general Sirichok Sopha and Theptai Seanapong paid visits to the patients at Klang and Huachiew Hospitals. There were seven patients injured from the attack being treated at Klang Hospital while three others at Huachiew Hospital.
Three were killed and some 23 others were injured in the attacks at the monument on Thursday early morning. Police said the attackers fired M-79 grenades and M-16 assault rifles at the protesters.
During his visit, Abhisit cheered up the victims, and asked about their whereabouts at the time of the attack.
