Abhisit, Suthep violated resolution on police construction: DSI
There is solid evidence that Abhisit Vejjajiva and Suthep Thaugsuban violated a Cabinet resolution on the project to construct new police-station buildings, said the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) Wednesday.
The project has become mired in scandal because to date, not a single building has been completed since the construction contract was signed in 2011.
DSI chief Tharit Pengdit said then-prime minister Abhisit and his deputy Suthep appeared to have violated the Cabinet resolution that required the project to be divided by zone and offered to the successful bidders for each zone.
Instead, just one bidder was selected, PCC Development and Construction Co Ltd.
