4.7 quake rattles Southern California
Los Angeles - A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rattled Southern Califonia on Monday, according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake was centreed 25 kilometres south of Palm Desert, California, in a high desert area inland from San Diego.
Initial reports estimated the quake at a much stronger 5.2 but were quickly revised down.//DPA
