Two suspects who have been arrested for allegedly spreading rumours that led to panic selling on the local stock market were released on bail while investigators plan to make three or four more arrests.
Central Investigation Bureau Commissioner Lt Gen Thagnai Prassachaksattru said the two suspects - Thiranan Vipuchanan, 43, and Katha Pajajiriyapong, 37, were released on bail by using assets worth Bt100,000 as a guarantee.
A source from the investigative team said police were seeking warrants for the arrest of three or four more suspects in the rumour-mongering case.
