Suthep gets cold, unable to convene Police Commission meeting

Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban has got a bad cold, and thus prompting the Police Commission to be postponed, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Monday.

Abhisit said Suthep was really not well and his sick leave was not motivated by his dissatisfaction over Abhisit's invitation for former deputy police chief Pol Gen Thanee Sombunsap to join the government's security team.

Abhisit said he heard Suthep's voice Sunday night and was certain that he had got a bad cold.

He said he asked Suthep to see doctors at a hospital and undergo a checkup.
