Thai shares plunged 12.36 points or 1.76 per cent when the market was open at 10:03 am Thursday.

The composite index of the Stock Exchange of Thailand dropped to 691.59 with a trading value of Bt1.661 billion.

The blue-chip SET50 dropped 9.95 points of 2.00 per cent to 488.41.
