Pro-government crowds shooed away demonstrators protesting against the prime minister during a royally-sponsored religious ceremony Monday.
While Prime Minister
Abhisit Vejjajiva was participating in the merit-making ceremony at Chana Songkram Temple, 10
red shirts rallied out in front. They shouted and shook hand clappers at him.
Twenty angry yellow shirt people then gathered to drive away the
red shirts and give the prime minister moral support.
Police secured the surroundings while Abhisit left through another gate.
No clash broke out between the two groups.
