A majority of about 60 per cent said Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya ought to resign office because police have named him a terrorist suspect involved in the seizure of Suvarnabhumi Airport in December, Abac Poll said in its survey released Wednesday.

The opinion poll was conducted on 1,283 respondents 17 selected provinces, including Bangkok, across the country.

For those demanding Kasit's exit, about 54 per cent said he should tender his resignation before the Asean Ministerial Meeting in Phuket. The remainder said he should step down after the meeting.
