BMTA unionists rally against plan to install e-ticket system
A group of employees of the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority rallied at the Government House Tuesday against the plan to use the e-ticket system in a few fleet of passenger buses.
The unionists said they supported the plan to buy or lease 4,000 buses to replace the aged ones of the
BMTA but they disagree with the use of the e-ticket system.
They said the system would cause some 9,000
BMTA workers to be laid off.
