23 state firms will request increase of living allowance
Employees of 23 state firms will follow example of their counterparts in the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority to seek increase of living allowance, one of their leaders said Friday.
Ploenphit Srisiri, deputy secretary-general of the State Enterprise Labour Relation Committee, said employees of the 23 other state firms are waiting for the Cabinet to approve the Bt2,000 increase of the living allowance for the two state firms’ employees.
Once, the Cabinet okays the increase for the two state firms, the rest of the state enterprises would ask the Cabinet to also give them the increase, she said.
She said the Cabinet should not discriminate against other state enterprises.
