Policeman injured in Narathiwat bomb attack
Narathiwat - A policeman was injured when insurgents detonated a roadside bomb to ambush a teacher protection unit in this southern border province Friday morning, police said.
The explosion occurred at 7:40 am on the Sakor-Sugnai Padi Road in Juerae village in Tambon Rico of Sugnai Padi district.
The unit was checking the road before going to pick up teachers at rendezvous points to send them to schools.
Pol Corporal Mudhuseng Suksawai, 26, was seriously wound on his waist by bomb shrapnel. He was rushed to the district hospital.
