The Secretariat of the Prime Minister is considering withdrawing lawsuits against leaders of the People's Alliance for Democracy for besieging Government House and blocking roads nearby last August.
Methee Jaisamut, lawyer to plaintiff Loyluen Bunnag, deputy secretary-general to the prime minister, told the Civil Court during the first cross-examination of the prosecution Tuesday that he did not wish to examine any witnesses and that the plaintiff was considering withdrawing the suit altogether.
Methee reasoned that the defence had, after all, left Government House and removed blockades from adjacent roads.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for May 19.
