23 injured in Monday quake, Disaster Prevention, Mitigation Department finds

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department has surveyed and found that 23 people were injured in the Monday 6.3-Richter quake that affected five provinces, the department chief said Tuesday.

The department earlier announced that an 83-year-old woman was killed in Chiang Rai, where the epicenter of the quake was located.

Chatchai Promlert, the director general of the department, said the quake affected ten districts in five provinces - Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Nan and Lampang.
