How long will Kasit last as FM |

DAAD has demanded that Kasit be removed as FM. They have declared that they will disrupt the ASEAN conference. Will Mr A cave in to this demand....or will he stand his ground and call the red shirt's bluff. My guess is that Mr A will "buckle" and there will be a new FM to host the summit. What say you? |

Mr.Kasit is in a hot pan from his past action during PAD protest, I wonder in the 1st place why is this government offer him this position, it a huge mistake decision, I think there must be some kind of trade-off deal behind this appointment.
Anyhow, if I were Thai PM right now, I would have move him to do something else (behide the scence, that's more more wiser strategy) because the opponent of PAD and some other neutral Thais have the feeling that PM is bias on this matter and try to protect the guy, the Q coming back, why / why & why !!!
To be a fair PM, Mr.Abisit has to show we he stand as he said that he will not being on any colour sides. The Asean meeting is coming up, I hope our PM open the eye and ear and immidiately clear this matter.
Good luck for all Thais, let's see if there will be real justice in our country or not !! I guessed time will tell everything.

Kasit Phiromya a long time diplomat one of the most hatred enemy of the wanted criminal on the run Thaksin Shinawatra might have said something stupid at the PAD's demonstration, who doesn't? I don't think it's such a big issue here! The real big issue was due to Kasit's disputation on the subject of Thaksin's desire to appoint that faggot Surakiat to be the UN secretary in 2006 before the coup. And as we know that Kasit has been right all along that's why!
Running criminal Thaksin Shinawatra couldn't stand of losing his face since. I would say PM Abhisit shouldn't pay much attention and give in to those red-shirted kwais like faggot Jakrapob Penkair, the traitor Veera Muksikapong and that Nut-nuttavut Saikuay at all la! They are simply trying to lick his boss's ass and balls as usual to save face la! It won't be long now those kwais will die down, cause the majority of Thais are getting fade up with them more and more each day now! And not to forget running criminal Thaksin is running out of cash faster than anyone thought and he is not stupid enough to waste more of his stolen money for the losing course he is facing now la! Let's wait and see when will those red-shirted kwais realize and accept the truth that the easy money they got from Thaksin was not and will not come out of his or his families own pockets but the tax-payers' la!
How stupid idiot could those above mentioned kwais be? |

Some people are thick-skinned and they have no shame. I am afraid our FM kasit belongs to such group. Well, let him stay as long as he like and Mark's government will suffer and bear its negative consequences. Mark and his cronies are in the wrong side of history. So do newspapers like this one we are reading now. |

Just Please tell me who in the red-shirts selfish parade have any remote concern of the country's benefit. It's so obvious they do it for the sake of money from the corrupt Thaksin clan. |

FM Kasit is visiting the south looking for new solutions. He notes that the world is watching. That did not bother him or his PAD buddies too much when he was enjoying the good food and music during the illegal airport occupation.
It's more of the same hypocrisy from the PAD and Democrats when they go to a region like the restive south and seek ways to restore trust and the rule of law. When they themselves should be on trial for the long list if PAD crimes. No one should be surprised if the current government does not garner much respect from the separatists in the South.

REPLY TO #34 I AM WONDERING
I wrote that since the PM appointed the Yellow shirts why not appoint some Red shirts as he said he is a fair and considerate man. My statement was that he since he appointed Yellow, why not appoint some Red?
Your condemnation that all Red shirts are from hell is saying that all the Yellow shirts are not. Tell me, have you seen the Yellow shirts carrying machetes, guns etc. beating up people on TV? Like the saying goes, anyone who wears Yellow gets away with murder and if you wear Red, you are a terrorist or in your words from hell.
Taking over the airport and refusing to let the foreigners out, plus barring those who once in their lifetime going to the Haj is the right thing? When Thais have a problem, it should not involved innocent foreigners who has done nothing wrong. So before you group the people together, gather your facts before mouthing off.

Bangkok Ray: How long Kasit last as FM?
If he do a good job, it will last to the end of his term.
If he do a bad job, Abhisit will take care of him soon.
I predict that he will last longer than Nopadon Patama for sure!
BUT!!!
It is depend on the Kama they caused, they will pay for it sooner or later no matter what color of shirt they ware.

When the time comes, Kasit colleagues from Asean countries will watch his face and words carefully, thnking "can we trust this guy?"
Asean foreign minisers are not stupid and they have been briefed by their ambassadors that this guy Kasit is very unpopular and hated by many people including the Red Shirts. Only certain newspapers like the Nation still praises and supports Kasit but of course everyone knows the nation is pro-coup and pro-PAD so it is ok that in the name of press freedom, we let the nation say and publish whatever twisted facts and lies we have in this Land of Smile. |

Hi Thai Watcher,
I'm sure you're right, Kasit is supposed to be a good diplomat, that's why our expectations are very high and because of that he must be really good with his words. The word 'FUN' is a very broad word for diplomats because they know how to twist and turn their tongues and try to cover it up. In fact, all the words have broad meanings for them. LOLO. Most of us in Thailand would say, 'FUN' means 'SANUK'. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.
One cannot be over-confidence and should be humble enough to apologize if he has hurt anyone/any group of people, knowingly or unknowingly. I'm not sure if this applies to him but it does apply to all the people, like us, in general.
My best wishes are with our FM. He has a huge task ahead to convince the world that "Thais can apologize, Thais can forgive and Thais can move on because Thais are made that way naturally and our Thai history is our proof." |

the heavens granted you this power above all ,
You know whats best for Thailand and its people
and you work where again ?
is your defensive posting based from the past ?
as all wise men know too much thinking of the past can and will consume your thoughts of today .
in epic proportions many support camp pad not for the betterment of Thailand but in vengeance and hate of thaksin , their sworn to hate instead of whats best for the people of Thailand , so many of you out their .
to allow favorit criminals free is not fair to the other 300,000 convicted criminal behind Thailand's Prison systems,in sake of all fairness if we let one free we should open all the prison doors,or is it the truth even in a criminal society it also has levels of rank or class that allows some to be above the law and others must obey by the laws of the kingdom
but your right- only your post and party is the righteous thing for Thailand
theirs no room for learning or being wrong
i now stand corrected

The PM is looking to stir up the hornets nest by appointing PAD as advisors. Saying he is neutral, then how come there are no Red shirt advisors and also where is the action that he mentioned he will be taking against the demonstrators for seizing the GH and airports.
Being naive, he will find out or has already found out that politics is not as easy as he thinks. There are many hidden hands and influential group that will put a brake on his naive policies. |

PM Abhisit says his priority is to promote reconciliation by enforcing the rule of law.
That certainly is a grand idea. How about starting with your PAD thug leader FM Kasit? Then rid your government of other PAD outlaws. Put Sondhi Limthongkul and Chamlong on trial for their long list of crimes like treason, murder, kidnapping, assault, seizing GH and the 2 airports.
Finally file civil suits seeking monetary damages against the PAD. Do this PM Abhisit and I will be one of your newest and strongest supporters. The world is watching. |

Hi Chaiyo, I agree with you he has to be sincere and watch what he say's but he is supposed to be a good diplomat.
I have just been watching very interesting Documentary movie called "War on Democracy" about American government's activities over the years organising Coup's in the South American countries,
If any of you bloggers can get hold of a copy itis well worth a viewing.
We all know who is behind the Israel/Palastine war, it is his Swan song to the world |

Thai Watcher, if I'd known Thaksin and Hun Sen are supposed to be good friends and business partners then my view would have been different Thanks for the information.
Now, I'm not surprised with Hun Sen's behaviour.
You've to agree with me, Kasit, being a FM, has to be more diplomatic with his statements. Eg If he can apologize to Thais re airport incidents then he can surely apologize to the Foreigners too as they were also affacted.
To be frank with you, I don't care who belongs to which party, but what I do care is that he has to be a sincere and honest person. My support is for Kasit as long as he's sincere and honest. For that matter, anyone who's sincere and honest.
