Security officials on Friday sealed off Narathiwat's Sungai Kolok district to hunt for culprits following three separate bomb attacks that killed at least four and injured many others.
Some of the injured were reported to be Malaysian tourists.
The officials were investigating the first bomb scene near a beer bar on Charoenkhet road at about 6.55pm when the second attack took place about 300 meters from the first attack.
Later the third explosion hit a restaurant opposite Merlin Hotel. The bombs were hidden in a car which was parked near the restaurant. The blast destroyed the restaurant and buildings nearby.
As of the press time, the death toll of the three attacks were four and about 50 others injured.
The explosions have paralyzed the telephone communications of the whole district. Police and soldiers are now sealing the routes in and out the district to hunt for the culprits.
