Don't run for the hills!Chiang Mai wants a second chance to prove its 700-year-old city is one of the best places to run (although the "misleading" guide last year led the runners out of town far from finishing line). This year, the city marathon will set off from Chiang Mai's Old Town on December 25, head out through the East Gate to the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek Park, and backtrack into the old town. With small temples along the road, set against the backdrop of high range, Chiang Mai should be one the beautiful place to race a marathon. What you need is a good sense of direction.
