A seductive French finish
Luxury lingerie brand Valisere celebrates 150 years with a limited edition 'Seduisant Corsage' collection
Imagine opening a drawer in your loved oneâ??s bedroom and coming across a range of lingerie in vintage black lace finished with sophisticated gold threads that is delicate and so soft to the touch but exciting to the eye.
Thatâ??s because your sweetheart chooses Valisere, the French luxury lingerie thatâ??s currently celebrating its 150th anniversary as womanâ??s intimate best friend. Its secret lies in its interpretation of seduction.
The brand recently revealed its remarkable history and the heritage of its designs while presenting the limited edition â??Seduisant Corsageâ? in Bangkok.
The Valisere story started in 1860 in Grenoble where Madame Auguste Perrin earned fame as a maker of fine leather gloves.
Though the early days were hard, Madame Perrin and her sons founded the glove company Le Gant Perrin. Later, in 1913, her younger son, Valerien, established the brand Valisere, which took its name from the nearby village of Val dâ??Isere, and focused on textile gloves and later diversified into undergarments and petticoats for elegant ladies.
Triumph International acquired Valisere in 1990 and gave the company a complete facelift while enhancing the brandâ??s precious values and craftsmen roots.
Today, the spirit of Madame Auguste Perrin is still vivid in terms of dedication to perfection, luxury and emphasis on self-confident female beauty.
The 2010 Valisere collection pays homage to its French roots and is an excursion into the passionate womanâ??s desirability and fantasies.
In a sort of sensual dream and dramatic mini fashion show at the event, models featured the winter 2010 collection, offered a preview of the spring and summer 2011 line, and showcased the limited anniversary edition of which only 10 sets are available in Thailand.
The provocative, sheer Choyer collection offers subtle but sexy two-tone colours covered with black details embroidered in a fancy flower pattern on nude bras and mini briefs. The Venere series ensures an alluring effect by using opaque material with sophisticated gold lurex threads on red bras and g-strings.
The Affection series goes vintage with colourful shimmering ribbons in blue, red, brown, and black, to highlight the womanly figure and adds extra sensuality with see-through straps. Then thereâ??s the Escalate look, which offers new matching colours, purple and green, with tussles tight up the side of the bras and hips.
Last but not least was a sneak preview of the spring and summer collection, the Deesse series showing the continuation of luxury and female beauty with Swarovski crystal elements on the bras.
The splendid finale was the anniversary piece, which reflects the art of seduction of the brand in all its materials, delicate details, shapes, and elegant designs.
