InterCAD 2010, the International CAD/CAM Jewelerry Symposium, will be held during February 22-24 at the British Club Bangkok, to showcase the world's leading computer-assisted jewelry design companies. The aim is to make Thai jewellery designers and companies more competitive internationally through computer-assisted jewelry design technologies.
At InterCAD 2010, Thai jewellery designers, sales managers and shop owners will get hands-on experience with the latest computer-based CAD/CAM jewelry design technology.
"Thai jewellery design is popular around the world but Thai jewellery designers lose business opportunities because they are slow to switch from hand-designed to computer-based jewellery design," says Charles Berman, managing director of Bermark Design Ltd, a Thai jewellery design and CAD/CAM specialist company, and organiser of InterCAD 2010. "Right now, Thailand is 4th in the world in computer-assisted jewellery design—behind China, India and Turkey," he said.
"Bringing the world's leading CAD/CAM jewellery design companies to InterCAD 2010 will let Thai jewellery designers and business owners learn how CAD/CAM technology can save them time and money, and make them more competitive and profitable," saidBerman.
