On Tuesday, I bought TOT 3G SIM prepaid package worth Bt299. I use the SIM card with the aircard for accessing the internet.
The charge rate is about 50 satang per megabyte of downloaded information. Then I had no idea what the charge rate means to my pocket, because I did not know how much information I need each day and what average information of one website transmitting to my laptop computer.
TOT's staffs did warn me of a rapid rate of consumption of prepaid, or it would cost dearly if I visit many websites.
I used it to open my emails, sent message, made a quick visit to four websites, looking for few items in two of those websites and access podcast for a few seconds. It cost me about Bt110(actual cost is Bt108 according to TOT3G call center). Really, the cost was too high compared with size of information I got and sent. If the package were postpaid(monthly charge) the cost would be about Bt44, which in my opinion is still high. The postpaid charge rate is average at 20 satang per megabyte.
Given that TOT's 3G network coverage is limited to the Greater Bangkok, its price is unreasonable high for internet access with prepaid package.
