If you love kids

Here's another worthwhile outing for National Children's Day next Saturday: Most of the Central Department Store malls are hosting "Build-A-Bear" workshops and "I Love Kids 2010" promotions in their kids-and-toys zones from Wednesday to Sunday.

It will be one giant playground for the imagination.

The concept is "What will I be?" (think "Que Sera Sera"). The youngsters can alter the look and wardrobe of cute dolls and share their dreams through teddy bears - they might choose a nurse's uniform, a jockey's costume, knight's armour or sporty jerseys for football and basketball players.

Teddy bears and stuffed rabbits and foxes are on sale for Bt595 to Bt850, and the full range of clothing and accessories, starting at Bt195 for a gorgeous little pair of sunglasses.

As part of the fun, the Zeen Zone will show youngsters how to save their allowances. There'll be all kinds of creative piggy banks, in shapes like a school bus, house, mailbox, telephone, fruit and animals.
