Three soldiers and three civilians were wounded when insurgents set off a roadside bomb as a group of soldiers passed by in Yala's Bannang Sata district yesterday.
The reported 10-kilogram explosive was detonated by a walkie-talkie when 10 troops were travelling in a pickup truck and on three motorcycles from their post to visit residents of Bannang Kuver village in Tambon Bannang Sata at 10:25am.
In an earlier attack in the deep South, on late Friday night, an unidentified gang burned down a Ban Payor School building and a Tambon Kadunong health station in Pattani's Sai Buri district.
