Government spokesman Panitan Wattanayakorn said Kamrob tried to contact Sivarak who was freed and returned home on Monday. Sivarak was arrested and sentenced to seven years in jail for stealing flight plan of Thaksin at the reques of Kamrob. He was pardoned by Khmer King Norodom Sihamoni.
Sivarak had told Camodian court that Kamrob telephoned him on the day Thaksin arrived in Phnom Penh to confirm the flight. He did not pass on the flight plan to Kamrob.
Panitan said he did not know whether they had talked yet.
The spokesman added he believed all sides will understand Kamrob as all information including the flight schedule for which he asked, was not confidential.
Kamrob was expelled from Cambodia on the second day of Thaksin's visit to Phnom Penh as an economic advisor of Cambodian PM Hun Sen and his government. Cambodia did not give reason of expulsion which happened after Thailand expelled first secretary of the Cambodian embassy in Bangkok.
Sivarak said on his arrival that the case was not a setup as rumours speculated. He said he could not force the diplomat to call him, but urged Kamrob to tell the public the truth.
