Khao Yai yippee-yi-yay

Bonanza Khaoyai is about as rural as Buddha Bless is ever going to get

Honda Winter Fest 4 at Bonanza Khao Yai last Saturday was full of the festive mood with cool temperatures and scenic nature all around, all abetted by the satisfactorily systematic management of areas for camping, parking and other facilities.

About 30,000 people, mostly in groups of family and friends, spent a leisurely afternoon playing games and taking photos of the beautiful surroundings and the eco-friendly, paper-recycled zoo with its tiger, turtle, deer and giraffe and lots of pinwheels.

They occupied the vast green yard for picnics, caressed by cool breezes.

As the sun set, music enlivened the ambience further, and audience participation became the order of the evening as large monitors provided the lyrics to the songs, karaoke-style.

Ford Sobchai opened the show with hits like "Yud Tong Nee Thi Ther" and dueted with Oui Rawiwan on "Rak Ther".

Screams greeted the "Academy Fantasia" alumni - Waan sang "Yoo Bamrung" and Padcha "Mai Sia Jai Thi Dai Rak Ther".

Girly Berry and Four Mod turned heads, and Dan Worradech, Pramote, Jui Juis and Koy-Yong kept things rolling before everyone assembled to sing "Rao Ja Rong Pleng Duay Kan" with Scrubb.

More happy times followed with easy-listening songs by Kob Songsit, Charas, Surasee, Waen Thitima and Pun Paibulkiet.

No one remained sitting by the time Palmy, Moderndog, Joey Boy, Sing Nuea Suea Tai and Buddha Bless climbed the stage, and after midnight, ETC lulled folks to sleep with pop songs.
