The shooting took place right in front of the Prime Nature Villa housing project in Bangkok. Sunattee dropped into the project's office for just an hour yesterday.
The project's security guards said the gunman wore a grey Tshirt and a hood. "As soon as she drove by, he opened fire. Then, he immediately fled the scene on a waiting green motorcycle," police quoted a security guard as saying.
Although Sunattee was rushed to a nearby hospital, she succumbed to injuries hours later. She was shot in her right chest, right shoulder and right rib. Her children and her relatives were seen crying at the hospital.
Prime Nature Villa is a luxury housing project. Many celebrities including Paradorn Srichaphan, Marsha Wattanapanich and 'Kalamare' Patcharasri Benjamas, have lived there.
Police are now investigating the case. A .38mm bullet was found inside Sunattee's BMW sedan.
"We are going to check all security cameras near the scene," Deputy Metropolitan Police Commissioner Maj General Uapong Komarakul said.
Metropolitan Police Bureau 4 deputy commander Colonel Anat Kedmanee convened a meeting of relevant investigators last night in a bid to solve this case.
