Only World Planet International and a travel company in Japan were appointed by a Fifa committee to be the official travel package companies in the Far East.

Fifa allocated 680 tickets for World Planet International to sell in Thailand for the World Cup, scheduled to be held in nine major cities in South Africa from June 11-July 11.

The company will introduce various packages tomorrow, beginning at Bt100,000 per person for a six-day trip and Bt250,000 per person for a seven-day visit.

The company has prepared the 150 most expensive tickets to sell for the final round.

All the packages include air fare, accommodation at four-star hotels and admission to attractions and football events.

The company is working with Singapore, Etihad, Malaysian and Emirates airlines. It is also talking with official hotels in South Africa such as the Grace Land resort by Peermont and the Don Hotel to create the packages.

For Thai fans, the company will sell packages compiled with any of five popular teams - England, Brazil, Spain, Italy and Germany.

The company aims to generate more than Bt1 billion from the packages.

Foreigners can buy tickets only from World Planet International's office while in Thailand. They may also buy them directly through the Fifa website.
