Thaksin appointed as Khmer PM's economic adviser
Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen has appointed convicted ex-Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra as his economic adviser.
Cambodian government's statement issued on Wednesday said Thaksin would be personal adviser to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and the adviser to the Cambodian government in charge of economy."
The appointment came almost two weeks after Hun Sen riled Thailand by offering safe haven and the job of economic adviser to Thaksin, upon arrival in Thailand to attend Asean Summit.
