Japanese team to help SMEs in Surat Thani



A Japanese delegation today sought a discussion with Surat Thani Governor Damri Boonjing over the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) under the Thai-Japanese cooperation.

 Surat Thani will be the first province to run the 2-year pilot project, which have the Industrial Promotion Department as the coordinator, Damri said. Initially, the team will inspect small factories in the province involving in the parawood, ice-cream and frozen seafood industries.

 The project wins financial support from Japan International Cooperation Agency.
