September bank loans drop Bt13 bn



Thai banks' outstanding loans stood at Bt5.58 trillion at end-September, down Bt12.9 billion from the previous month or 0.23 per cent or 2.10 per cent from the same period last year, according to a data from Kasikorn Research Centre.

 The four largest banks' outstanding loans fell Bt23 billion or 0.62 per cent from August. While Bangkok Bank and Kasikornbank showed an increase month on month by Bt7.5 billion and Bt1.7 billion, respectively, the figures of Krung Thai Bank and Siam Commercial Bank posted a drop by Bt30.8 billion and Bt1.57 billion, respectively.
