Rocker Da Endorphine returns to stage next month along with several of her pals

Thanida Tumvimol, who's known all over Thailand as Da Endorphine, returns to the stage next month for her second variety concert, "Nang Sao Da Endorphine Live in Bangkok". She'll be performing two back-to-back shows at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium and is expected to sell out the venue after the huge success of her debut solo event, "Illusion",  last year.

"It'll be a really colourful show thanks to its theme, the songs and my guests," she says. "It's all about Thai-ness. As everybody knows, all Endorphine albums have songs like 'Dok Ratri' and 'Sakawa' that are related to Thai-ness. I started learning traditional Thai music instruments like the sor and khlui when I was a kid. In my teens, I became interested in pop music. So now, I try to blend traditional Thai with pop."

For "Illusion" Da Endorphine jammed with Thai contemporary ensemble, Bangkok Xylophone. What surprises does she have planned for "Nang Sao"?

"You'll hear traditional Thai music in the rearranged melodies," she says but refuses to elaborate further.

The female rocker will sing 30 numbers during the show including tracks off her new album, "Saen Saeb". This new outing features 10 cuts including tracks "Saeb" and "Jud Rerm Ton Khong Jud Job", which have already been released as singles.

"The album's modern with plenty of synthesiser," she says. "I wrote four or five songs including the melody. Most of songs are taken from my ideas. 'Buea' ['Bored'], for example, is about a man who is impetuous, headstrong and who talks lot. I feel bored but, at the same time, I still love him. I think fans like this song.
