Central Department Store will invest Bt2 billion in overhauling existing stores in the next two years, including Bt900 million for the Lad Phrao branch and Bt450 million for the Pin Klao branch.

Its president Yuwadee Chirathivat said the overhaul - which will introduce modern look to all branches and the greater variety of products and services - will raise the company's growth when no new branch is on the card.

The company celebrated the 62nd anniversary this year.

Yuwadee admitted that it becomes harder to find locations for the new branches both in Bangkok and major cities.

During Oct 29-Nov 2, Central Chidlom will host a floral festival to boost last-quarter sales.

Yuwadee expected the company's sales to grow 5 per cent this year to Bt27 billion. The company fetched Bt17 billion in the first nine months.
