Disputes at Tostem solved
Tostem Engineering (Thailand)'s workers have returned to work after the employer agreed to their welfare requests.
The company agreed to raise salary by 2 per cent and extra Bt100 increase in the salary. The bonus payment will be 2 months of salary at minimum, plus extra Bt4,000 per annum. All employees will also be granted the Bt350 monthly allowance.
The employees staged a protest on Monday, after failing to win endorsement for their requests.
The agreement was reached at the tri-partite meeting yesterday, joined by Pathum Thani labour officials.
