Mong's back in class

Mong Thongdee, whose quest to attend an origami competition in Japan made the head¬lines earlier this month, was back in class catching up on his schoolwork yesterday, said Ban Huai Sai School director Duangrit Ketima.

Mong, who won first in the team category and third in the individual, is getting extra tutoring during lunch breaks and after school to prepare for the midterm exams early next month. Tambon Suthep is planning special lunch on October 10 at the school to celebrate Mong's victory, said Duangrit. So far, formal notification of the scholarships promised to Mong by various agencies hasn't arrived.
