8 more killed by H1N1 flu

Public Health Ministry confirmed on Wednesday that eight more people had died from the new strain of influenza type A (H1N1) last week, bringing the total of fatality to 119 cases.

The ministry's deputy permanent secretary, Dr Paijit Warachit said the new fatalities were four men and four women. Half of them were people aged between 31 year-old to 40-year-old and categorized as a risk group for the flu fatality.

However, the ministry did not detail the total of infected cases from influenza A (H1N1), saying the estimated number of infection will be released next week by the ministry's academic team.
