Veteran film star Arun Pawilai was yesterday given a suspended jail term for drunk driving. The court also suspended his driving license for six months and ordered him to pay a fine of Bt7,250.

The actor was nabbed by police at around 3am yesterday, but angrily refused to take a breathalyser test.

Arun was brought to the Makkasan Police Station where, after talking to the station's superintendent, he eventually agreed to have his bloodalcohol level checked. It was found to be well in excess of the legal limit.
