PM'S TV BLACK OUT

NBT's director tranferred

State-run TV Channel 11's Director Suriyong Huntasarn is transfered on Monday following repeated technical broadcast problems of PM's weekly talk show on the channel.

PM's Office Minister Satit Wongnongtaey said he already signed the order to transfer Suriyong.

Entire broadcast team of National Broadcast Television's Channel 11 which is responsible for the programme will also be removed, pending results of the fact-finding team set up to look into the problems.

The live television programme "Confidence in Thailand with PM Abhisit" was hit by technical snags for the third time on Sunday.

Satit was speaking after holding an urgent meeting with Public Relations Department director general Pachern Khampho and other senior PRD officials.

Satit said he had talked to Pachern and he cited the technical problem in sending signal as the cause of programme interruptions.

Satit said the programme interuptions had happened once before at Government House and the other at the Interior Ministry. He said he felt irritated because such incident adversely affected the government important works.

Satit said a fact-finding committee had been set up to find who must be held responsible. Two teams are being probed - the producer and the technical team.
