
The amount rose $1.22 billion from the same period last year, or 125 per cent.
Meanwhile, institutional investors' outstanding overseas investment as of May stood at $12.9 billion, an increase of $1.3 billion on year or 11 per cent. The investment is less than half of the $30 billion limit.
The Securities and Exchange Commission said that at end-June, outstanding investment of the seven types of institutional investors stayed at $11 billion, compared to the approved amount of $18.96 billion.
