Moderndog and Tik Shiro get the most nods in this year's music video awards

Different generation artists Moderndog and Tik Shiro have received the most nominations for Channel [V] Thailand's Music Video Awards 2009.

"Ting Nong Noy", the latest album by modern rock pioneers Moderndog, has been a massive success, with two songs, "Niyai" and "Ngern Larn", picking up a stack of prizes at earlier ceremonies. This time, "Niyai" has been nominated for Best Music Video, Best MV Director, Best Editing and Best Cinematography.

Tik Shiro's "Mai Tok Roon", the first cut off his is new outing "Downtown Story Season 2", also has four, competing against "Nayai" in the best MV, director and editing categories and also nominated for Best Direction.

Big Ass and Kai-Jo Brothers are next in line with nods for Best Music Video, Best MV Director and Best Cinematography, while Bie Sukrit is nominated in the Best Music Video, Best Editing and Best Direction categories.

The awards ceremony takes place at Royal Paragon Hall of Siam Paragon on August 22 and will be broadcast on Channel [V] (TrueVisions 32) at 5 as well as online at www.ChannelVThailand.com.

Pause in the prizes

>> The Channel [V] Thailand's Music Video Awards were held in 2002 at Bangkok Theatre, in 2003 at Thammasat University, in 2004 at Thailand Cultural Centre, in 2005 at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani and in 2006 at Bec-Tero Hall.

>> They return this year after a hiatus of two years.
