Road of discovery

National Discovery Museum Institute, Bangkok, is organising a free trip to visit the museums around the Grand Palace today and tomorrow. The tramlike vehicle, complete with an experienced guide, leaves the Museum of Siam four times per day, at 10am, 11am, noon and 1pm, and travels through Bangkok's oldest communities, among them Tha Tian, Baan Mor and Pak Khlong Talad. Stops include the National Museum, Museum of Siam and King Rama VI Museum. For reservation, call (02) 225 2777 extension 411 or email info@ndmi.or.th.

Your wedding made easy

Visit Grand Hyatt Erawan's wedding fair and make arrangements for the most important day of your life easy. The luxury hotel hosts "Weddings at The Campus" on September 19 and 20 in its "Campus", the newly built conference hall that's just a short walk from Chidlom BTS station.

There you'll find everything from dresses and suits, amazing cakes and a sumptuous cocktail menu that will be served all day. For every wedding function booked between September 19 and October 31, the lucky couple enjoys a honeymoon package at The Barai or Hyatt Regency Hua Hin plus the chance to win a honeymoon in London.

Once purchased, the prepaid tickets are valid until July 31, 2010. Cardholders can either book the flight by themselves via Bangkok Airways website or through airline's call centre.

The streets by night

Bangkok, Southeast Asia's unofficial nightlife capital, will host the Charity Midnight Run on October 10, and the good news is that you don't have to be the fastest to have fun. The annual "Amari Watergate Hotel & BMW Thailand Charity Midnight Run" kicks off at midnight from the Amari Watergate Hotel on Phetchaburi Road and continues through the city's streets.

Contestants can choose between six and 12 kilometres at a fee of Bt300 and Bt1,000. Proceeds go to underprivileged students under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, and HIVpositive children at Baan Gerda in Lop Buri.

The winners receive airline tickets, hotel packages and other great prizes. Call (02) 653 9000 or email: watergate@amari.com.
