In the case, Manoon Tinneung and his wife had demanded Bt12million compensation from the ministry after their daughter fell into a comatose state in 2003 during her admission to a state hospital in Loei. The parents believed the hospital failed to treat the girl properly.
The ministry had reportedly offered to pay Bt500,000, but Manoon refused.
The court said it decided to drop the case because the girl's comatose state came from the disease, not from malpractice. Manoon said he would approach the Court of Appeals.
