Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij unveiled the Bt18.6 billion investment sum for Chiang Mai, making it the province with the second largest sum following Bangkok.

The fund is part of the second economic-stimulus package. It will cover projects in education, transport, water resources, and tourist attractions including the Doi Suthep which will win the restoration budget of Bt84 million.
