Chery QQ#
Thai Chery Yarnyon is now selling one of the cheapest cars in the Thai market, the Chery QQ. That's not all, it also sells the Tiggo SUV and the Cross MPV at prices that you're unlikely to see elsewhere.
What's Chery?! Well it's China's leading automotive brand. With sale of over 350,000 units last year in the Chinese market the company is now busy conquering worldwide markets. It already sells its cars in over 70 countries.
The QQ which is a small city car and comes with an E20 capable 1.1-litre engine will cost you between Bt360,000 to Bt 422,000. Thai Chery Yarnyon claims that the quality is up to the mark for Thai customers.
The company wants customer to come to the showroom and have you test drive the car before forming an opinion.
Why would you go for the Chery QQ? Well for starters the QQ is cheap and it's not just the price. Insurance, service and spare parts are quite affordable for a first time jobber. For those who're looking for a second or third car the QQ comes as an economical and easy-to-park city car.
If an SUV is your pick then the Tiggo, which comes with a 2.0-litre E20 capable engine will cost Bt789,000 to Bt 825,000.
That's the price of a second hand Honda CRV! All Tiggo's come only with 2WD and dont expect to do any real off-roading with this city dweller.
If you're a family man then the Cross MPV might be more appealing which comes with the same 2.0-litre engine as in the Tiggo. The Cross can seat seven people and costs Bt888,000 to Bt 915,000.
