Consumer confidence rises in June

Thailand 's consumer confidence index rose to 72.5 points in June versus 71.5 points in May and after five months of a consecutive decline, following the Parliament's approval of Bt400 billion budget of the economic stimulus package, according to the survey of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce released on Thursday.

However, a concern on the A (H1N1) flu is likely to affect the confidence index this month, the university said.
