Turkish man kills himself

Abu Sada, 47, jumped from the rooftop of the luxury 16storey Ruen Rudee Condominium near Soi Sukhumvit 1. His girlfriend, Galzart Hokaniasowa, from Turkmenistan, said Sada had made five previous attempts to kill himself - including taking sleeping pills and cutting his wrists. Twenty days ago he had tried to jump off the same building but was calmed down by friends.

Hokaniasowa said she and Sada's family were convinced Sada had committed suicide and did not request further investigation. She said he became stressed out after his garment export business went into debt and especially after his daughter died in Palestine three years ago.

Lumpini police said they had been told Sada went to the rooftop at 6am, which he usually did to be by himself. He jumped off one hour later.
