The one-month-old panda at the Chiang Mai Zoo is about to see its world for the first time.
"We expect the cub to open its left eye in the next day or two," panda project chief Prasertsak Boontrakulpoontawee said yesterday.
As of yesterday, the cub weighed 1.84 kilograms and measured 36 centimetres long.
"She is getting fluffier too," Prasert said. Three days of celebrations for the panda will start tomorrow and a traditional Lanna blessing ceremony will be held on Sunday.
